Name: Kirsten Beverley-Waters
Superhero alias: Wild Magoolian (there's a whole wilderness story here) but I've been called Captain Marvel more than a couple of times. I think it's the short hair.
Location: Maine
Occupation by day: Athletic Performance Coach, LGBTQIA+ youth movement coach, & Yoga Teacher
Occupation by night: Gluten Free Baker Extraordinaire
Favorite food: Donuts
What is your current mood: Curious
Favorite quality in a human: Resilience
Least favorite quality in a human: Hate
Biggest regret: I'm gonna be serious here for a moment and say that I wish when I was a child looking for a super hero to come and save me I would've looked a little closer at all the things my mom was doing. Because I would've realized I had a super hero in my house daily. Good thing I can tell her now hahaha.
Wildest dream: Hmm I've had quite a few. There was one where we lived in a time where there were dinosaurs, my dog and cat were able to talk, & my wife and I were fighting off Zombies. (Not sure what Netflix suggestions I could get from that one haha)
Cat or dog: both
Favorite book: No mud, no lotus by Thich Nhat Hanh or The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein
Favorite yoga pose: Triangle (maybe the Illuminati is trying to influence me lol)
What does the word 'Haus' mean to you: Haus means a space to be seen and held as you are. There are many "homes" and "houses" that will allow us a seat but they come with expectations or rules. Haus feels like this technicolor dream of possibility where you can explore the vacillating energies of who you are—and do it without judgement or fear of feeling less than.
Your life motto: I have 2:
1)You cannot give away that which you do not own. (We have to own our stories, chapters, and contributions to our experiences if we ever want to heal or release them for growth)
2)The Only Pace is Forward (It's a reminder that I don't need to be fast, it's okay to be slow, stopping is not a failure... as long as it moves me in the direction of love and growth its the only pace I need).
